Titan Flooring was appointed by Mace to deliver the specialist flooring package for the new Terminal 2 Pier fit-out at Manchester Airport, forming part of the airport's wider transformation programme.
Manchester Airport's Terminal 2 has undergone a major programme of investment and expansion, designed to create a modern international gateway for the North of England. The transformation has significantly increased the size and capacity of the terminal, introducing new piers, departure facilities, passenger areas and improved infrastructure to support millions of passengers travelling through the airport each year.
Titan's works involved the installation of a range of specialist flooring systems across both passenger-facing and operational areas. Extensive pumped latex preparation, installed to depths of up to 10mm, was undertaken to achieve the demanding tolerances required ahead of the final floor finishes.
The completed package included Nora rubber tiles to high-traffic areas, providing a durable and resilient finish suited to the demands of an international airport. Resin flooring was installed throughout the toilet blocks, with carpet finishes to passenger waiting areas creating a more comfortable environment. Durable vinyl flooring was also installed throughout back-of-house and operational areas.
Delivered within the complex environment of a major live airport development, the project demonstrates Titan Flooring's ability to combine specialist subfloor preparation with multiple high-performance finishes, delivering a coordinated flooring package across demanding commercial and transport environments.
