The Horbury team bring extensive experience and expertise in construction, providing a complete national service to the building industry.

Meet Trevor Wragg, the Founder and Chief Executive of Horbury Group since 1993. Trevor began his career as a Quantity Surveyor at a national contractor before moving into the subcontractor arena, and ultimately starting Horbury Group at the tender age of 27.
He continues to drive the business forward and support the Horbury staff in their career development and aspirations, whilst always pushing for enhancements and improvement to achieve efficient, quality, profitable delivery.
Of particular satisfaction is the fact that many of the management team joined Horbury as a first employer and now some 20+ years later are still with the business.
As holder of key client relationships, Trevor remains as involved in all aspects of the business as he did in 1993.

Meet Richard Irons, Chief Financial Officer of Horbury Group since 2026.
Richard began his career with KPMG in Nottingham, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, before moving into industry. He has spent the past 15 years as a CFO to businesses in a variety of sectors including retail, manufacturing and technology. The last six years have been spent in housebuilding and construction project-based businesses.
He joined Horbury to help the Group build on its foundations, bringing financial discipline and clear commercial thinking to support the next stage of the journey.
Alongside the numbers, Richard is focused on building strong, high-performing teams and on making sure Horbury embraces the opportunities from AI and emerging technologies while managing the risks they bring.

Meet Alex Fletcher, the Group Pre-Construction Director, boasting an impressive 24 years in the industry, all dedicated to the Horbury Group. Starting as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor in 2000 for the Titan Ceilings Division, Alex progressed through various roles and obtained a BSc Hons in Quantity Surveying from Sheffield Hallam University in 2006.
His journey within the company led him to the newly formed Flooring Division in 2010, where he spent 12 years. Evolving from a Commercial role to a focus on Operational excellence, Alex played a pivotal role in successfully delivering multiple concurrent projects. His project portfolio includes notable ventures such as the Manchester Civil Justice Centre, M&S Fit Out nationally, Midland Schools, Broad Street Birmingham, and Oaklands London.
In March 2023, he assumed the position of Pre-Construction Manager for the Group, leveraging his extensive knowledge. In his current role as Group Pre-construction Director, Alex oversees a team of estimators within our Drywall and Joinery Divisions, managing Group turnover budgets. He is the front-end lead for company sales strategies, but in addition to this, he is a valuable member of the Group’s Sustainability and Social Value Team.

Meet Billy Turburville, the Group Business Development Director, an accomplished professional with over 13 years of industry experience.
Billy began his career in the Main Contractor field, serving with Mace for 12 years prior to joining the Horbury Group as Group Business Development Director, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise from one of the largest and most successful Tier One Contractors in the UK, and a strong reputation for delivering complex, high-value construction projects.
During his time with Mace, Billy progressed through site-based roles from Construction Manager to Senior Construction Manager, securing his NVQ Level 7 in Senior Construction Management and his Chartership with the CIOB. He subsequently moved into project leadership roles as Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Associate Director. During his 12-year tenure, Billy delivered various prestigious projects including Chelsea Barracks (£800m), East Village N06 (£140m), Greenwich 19.05 (£150m), and Nova Victoria (£250m) amongst others. As an Associate Director, Billy spearheaded the delivery of full major Fit-Out / Internals project scopes throughout the entire project lifecycle, from Procurement to Design, Delivery, and Handover, with values worth up to £50m on a single project.
Billy joined the Horbury Group in 2025, and in his role as Group Business Development Director, he has taken the reigns in leading the Group’s work winning efforts, client relationship development, and internal business development across the London & South region. Drawing on his extensive Main Contractor background expertise and industry network, Billy provides the Group with a fresh and diverse input to its strategic approach & development. His dedication to fostering new & existing relationships with our clients, and his passion for consistently improving the Group Business from the inside continues to drive the Group’s growth and delivery of exceptional value in the London & South region.

Meet Emily Johnson, our dedicated HR professional with 8 years of experience in the industry, all of which have been with the Horbury Group. As the Group HR Manager, Emily is responsible for overseeing the HR function across the organisation.
Emily’s qualifications include a Level 3 CIPD Qualification in HR Support, and she has now completed a Level 5 CIPD Qualification, demonstrating her commitment to continuous professional development. She began her journey with the Horbury Group through work experience in the Finance department, subsequently transitioning to the role of HR, Training, and Payroll Administrator in 2016. Her dedication and expertise led to her promotion to Group HR Manager in 2020.
Emily’s key duties include talent acquisition and recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, and driving strategic HR initiatives. Additionally, Emily oversees the payroll function and provides support to employees across the company, ensuring a cohesive and supportive work environment. Her strategic approach to HR and her commitment to employee support have made significant contributions to the Group’s success, all of which make her a vital asset to the Horbury Group’s leadership team.

Meet Andy Gordon, an esteemed professional in the construction industry with an impressive 34-year career, out of which he has dedicated 30 years to the Horbury Group.
Currently holding the position of Managing Director at Titan Interior Solutions, Andy’s extensive journey within the Horbury Group has been marked by a diverse range of roles and significant contributions. Commencing his career in Horbury Building Systems as a QS and Commercial Manager, Andy seamlessly transitioned into Titan Interior Solutions, where he ascended to the roles of Commercial Manager and then Commercial Director.
Andy brings a wealth of project experience, having worked as a QS on large schemes, including spending two years on Manchester Airport T2 and one year in Dortmund, Germany, overseeing the ‘Alte Poste’ project—a large Hotel / Office scheme. His contributions span projects across the UK, encompassing Hospitals, Schools, Prisons, Airports, Train Stations, Offices, Residential, Sport Stadiums, MOD buildings, Shopping Centres, and Cinemas.
As a Director for Titan, Andy has overseen an impressive portfolio of over 1000 projects throughout the UK, demonstrating his leadership and management acumen. In his current role as Managing Director, Andy shoulders overall responsibility for the Contracts, Commercial and Estimating function at Titan. This includes a strategic and hands-on approach to ensure the efficiency and success of these crucial aspects within the organisation.

Meet Ian Syddall, our dedicated Construction Director who boasts an impressive 30-year tenure in the industry, all of which have been spent contributing to the success of the Horbury Group. Currently working for Titan Interior Solutions, Ian’s wealth of experience is underscored by a versatile journey within the Horbury Group.
Having worked in various roles, including Fixer, Supervisor, Site Manager, Project Manager, Construction Manager, Associate Director, and now Construction Director at Horbury Building Systems, Ian brings a comprehensive skill set to his current position. His extensive project experience includes the oversight of more than 500 projects throughout his remarkable career.
Ian’s primary responsibilities revolve around overseeing all London projects, a testament to his leadership and strategic role within the organisation.

Meet Rob Cowan, a veteran in the industry with an impressive 24-year career, entirely dedicated to the Horbury Group. Currently serving as the Regional Director in Titan Interior Solutions, Rob brings a wealth of experience and qualifications, including an NVQ Diploma level 7 and IOSH Health and Safety for Executives and Directors.
Rob’s journey within the Horbury Group has been diverse, having excelled in roles such as Fixer, Site Manager, and Contracts Manager before assuming the pivotal position of Regional Director. His extensive project experience includes substantial contributions to high-profile endeavours such as the Manchester Airport Terminal 2 extension (£10 million), New Everton Stadium (£15.6 million), and Broad Street residential (£7 million).
As the Regional Director, Rob plays a crucial role in planning and managing various aspects. He develops important strategies for the business, communicates with top executives, and assesses the performance of managers. His role also involves preparing business plans, providing resources to managers, and ensuring program demands are met while maintaining budgetary control.

Meet Lee Murray, an industry expert with an extensive 35-year career, 16 of which have been dedicated to the Horbury Group. Currently serving as the Regional Director in Titan Interior Solutions, Lee holds a BSc Hons Degree in Construction Management.
Lee’s journey within the Horbury Group has been diverse, starting as a Site Manager, progressing to Project and Contracts Manager for Horbury Building Systems. He has been involved in several joint ventures with other group businesses, including Horbury Joinery, Titan Flooring, and Horbury Property Services.
His extensive project experience includes significant contributions to endeavours such as the Co-operative Group HQ in Manchester (£2.9m), Clatterbridge Cancer Care Hospital in Liverpool (£7.8m), and the Deansgate Square Residential Complex in Manchester (£16.4m).
As the Regional Director, Lee’s key responsibilities include championing a Health and Safety culture, leading staff training and development, supporting site management teams for timely and quality project delivery, producing business plans, implementing strategies for the region and the business, collaborating with group departments, and promoting the company’s values. Additionally, Lee serves as a Mental Health First Aider for the Group, offering support and guidance. He is also the Champion of our Net Zero Carbon initiative, demonstrating a commitment to environmental sustainability.

Meet Adam Syddall, an accomplished professional with 18 years of industry experience and a vital member of the Horbury Group for the past 16 years. Currently serving as the Regional Director for the London Region, Adam brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role.
Adam began his career with the Horbury Group at the age of 18 as a trainee Quantity Surveyor. His dedication and hard work led to his qualification in 2013 with a BSc Hons in Quantity Surveying (1st Class). He also holds additional certifications such as SMSTS, FIRAS, and SEATS. Adam continued to excel in his role, progressing from a Quantity Surveyor to a Project Surveyor in London, where he managed large multi-package schemes. His outstanding performance earned him the position of Project Lead at the prestigious B3 Southbank Place project, an £18.5m joint Fit-out package. This success paved the way for his promotion to Operations Manager.
In his current role, Adam spearheads high-profile projects, including the impressive £8.2m Alperton Bus Garage with Telford Homes and the prestigious £5.0m Marylebone Square with Kier. His portfolio also boasts major ventures like the £11m Cherry Park at Westfield and the £10.3m Kew Bridge Gate with Ecoworld. As a Project Lead, Adam masterfully managed the £18.5m interior fit-out at B3 Southbank Place, delivering excellence in drylining, ceilings, joinery, glazed screens, partitions, and bathroom fit-outs. He also successfully led the £13m interior fit-out at Sovereign Court, showcasing his expertise in drylining, ceilings, joinery, and decoration.
Adam’s key responsibilities include overseeing the commercial and operational activities of Titan in London. His strategic and comprehensive approach ensures the successful delivery of projects while fostering a collaborative and rewarding team environment. His commitment to excellence and leadership continues to drive the success of the Horbury Group in the London Region.

Meet Paul Flanagan, our Commercial Director who brings a wealth of experience with 35 years in the industry, 18 of which have been dedicated to the Horbury Group. Currently overseeing the Drywall Commercial department, Paul holds relevant qualifications, including ACIArb and SMSTS.
Paul’s journey within the Horbury Group includes significant roles, such as Project Manager for the internal fitout of the John Lewis newbuild department stores in Cardiff and Leicester. In his capacity as Commercial Manager, he managed projects ranging in value from £600k to £12.5m, showcasing his extensive project experience.
In his current position of Commercial Director, his key responsibilities encompass commercial, financial, and risk management, where he plays a pivotal role in overseeing the commercial department for projects up to the value of £16m. Working collaboratively with the operations team, Paul ensures the successful delivery of projects. In addition, Paul is a Mental Health Champion for the Group, actively contributing to the well-being and positive work culture within the organisation.

With over 40 years of experience in the construction industry, David Bastow is a highly accomplished Operations Director with a proven track record of delivering operational excellence, business transformation, and complex project delivery.
David began his career in the shop fitting industry, where he developed extensive expertise in delivering fast-track fit-out programmes for many of the UK's leading high street brands. Successfully managing large-scale projects within demanding timescales, he earned a reputation for combining quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction while operating in demanding and fast-paced environments.
Throughout his career, David has progressed into senior leadership positions, leveraging his deep industry knowledge and practical experience to drive business performance, improve operational efficiency, and lead organisational growth. His extensive background spans construction, fit-out, refurbishment, and facilities operations, providing him with a unique understanding of both strategic leadership and hands-on project execution.
Known for his practical, hands-on approach, David leads by example and believes in being actively involved in the day-to-day realities of operations and project delivery. His visible leadership style enables him to build strong relationships with teams, clients, and stakeholders while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance are consistently achieved.
David excels at building high-performing teams, implementing sustainable operational improvements, and delivering successful outcomes in complex environments. His expertise includes operational management, change leadership, project delivery, process optimisation, and organisational development.
Passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence, David remains committed to creating environments where people, processes, and performance come together to deliver exceptional results for customers, colleagues, and businesses alike.

Meet Grant Norman, Director at Titan, an accomplished commercial professional with more than 17 years’ industry experience in the construction and joinery sector.
He brings a practical, hands-on understanding of project delivery, commercial management and client-focused service, supporting teams from early enquiry through to practical completion.
Grant joined Horbury Joinery in March 2015 as a Quantity Surveyor, following several years working in the planned and reactive maintenance sector.
During his time at Horbury, Grant progressed from Quantity Surveyor to Senior Surveyor, Commercial Manager, Commercial Director and Director. He began by surveying joinery and carpentry packages on smaller school projects worth around £300k, before moving on to larger residential schemes including Beaufort Park (£2m) and Elephant Park (£3m) in London. One of Grant’s biggest achievements was surveying Horbury Joinery’s largest ever scheme, Canary Wharf A1, valued at £15m. As Director, Grant is responsible for the commercial delivery of joinery projects and manages a team of surveyors. His experience enables him to lead projects from the front, supporting teams from enquiry stage through to practical completion.
Known for his collaborative approach and strong commercial focus, Grant is committed to helping teams deliver high-quality joinery projects while building trusted relationships with clients, colleagues and supply chain partners.

Meet David Cartwright, an accomplished professional with 22 years of experience in the construction industry, dedicating 13 years of his career to the Horbury Group. As the Managing Director of Titan Flooring Limited, David brings a wealth of expertise and a track record of success to his role, overseeing the division's remarkable growth and positioning it as a leader in the industry.
With a BSc (Hons) in Physics, David's academic foundation is complemented by over two decades of hands-on experience in the construction sector. His journey within the Horbury Group has been marked by continuous growth and leadership, culminating in his current role as the Managing Director of the Flooring Division.
Under David's leadership, Titan Flooring Limited has experienced significant growth since its establishment in 2011. With a portfolio of over 900 successful projects, the division achieved a notable milestone with a turnover of nearly £15M in 2023. This success has positioned the division as one of the UK's largest specialist flooring contractors, operating across multiple sectors with a nationwide presence. David's leadership has been pivotal in managing diverse projects across the UK, consistently delivering high-quality flooring solutions on time and within budget.
As the Managing Director, David holds comprehensive responsibility for the efficient management and operation of the Flooring Division. His role encompasses a robust blend of commercial insight, operational expertise, and sales proficiency, ensuring the division's continued growth and success.

Meet Jamie Woollands, Regional Director – South, Titan Flooring
Meet Jamie, an accomplished professional with 20 years of experience in the construction industry, dedicating 7 years of his career to Titan Flooring. As Regional Director for the South, Jamie brings a wealth of expertise and a track record of success to his role, overseeing project delivery and commercial performance across the region.
With a BSc (Hons) in Construction Management, Jamie’s academic foundation is complemented by two decades of hands-on experience in the construction sector, spanning estimating, contract management, specification, and commercial oversight. His journey within Titan Flooring has been marked by continuous growth, culminating in his current role as Regional Director.
Under Jamie’s leadership, the Southern region has delivered an average of 15 projects a year, totalling over 100 to date, and now generates an annual turnover of £8 million. His work spans the residential, healthcare, education, and commercial sectors, giving him a broad base of technical and commercial experience across markedly different project types — from acoustic and infection-control requirements in healthcare settings to the compliance and durability demands of education and commercial fit-out.

Daniel Belfitt is Regional Director at Titan Flooring Ltd, bringing 15 years of experience within the construction industry to the role. Since joining the organisation in 2016 as Commercial Manager, Daniel has progressed through the business, developing a comprehensive understanding of its commercial and operational functions along the way.
Daniel holds a Masters in Quantity Surveying, providing a strong academic grounding that underpins his professional approach. This, combined with over a decade and a half of industry experience, has equipped him with the technical and commercial insight required to lead effectively within a competitive sector.
In his current capacity as Regional Director, Daniel is responsible for the strategic oversight of projects within his region, ensuring commercial performance is maintained alongside operational excellence. He works closely with clients and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered to the required standard, within agreed timeframes and budgets, while contributing to the wider strategic objectives of the business.

Meet Mike Segar, our Sales Director for Titan Flooring, who joined the Group in 2013 as Business Development Manager, graduating the same year from Sheffield Hallam University with a BSc (Hons) in Construction Management. Over 13 years with Titan Flooring, his role has evolved from Business Development into Estimating & Sales, incorporating both Technical and Commercial responsibilities along the way, culminating in his current position as Sales Director.
As the Flooring Division has diversified over the years into ceramic tiling, timber, and specialist sub-floor installations, Mike's expertise has grown alongside it. His project portfolio includes the Main Stand Redevelopment at Anfield Stadium, the New Everton Stadium, T2 Manchester Airport, and the flagship Oriel Eye Hospital.
As Sales Director since 2025, one of Mike's key responsibilities is driving the Division’s growth across the UK, with a particular focus on the London market. This involves regular engagement with key supply chain partners and clients to identify market opportunities, as well as taking the lead on internal bids.

Meet Rob Kelemen, our Operations Director and Group Head of Continual Improvement, bringing tri-functional responsibility across sales, commercial, and operations at Horbury Property Services (HPS). With 16 years in the industry, and almost 3 of those with the Horbury Group, Rob has built a career on making operations work harder, smarter, and more consistently.
Rob's career began in manufacturing quality control, and he progressed through every operational tier since, building a working knowledge of the business from the shop floor upwards. He went on to hold the role of Project Manager, Commercial Manager & Regional Manager within the perimeter protection sector, overseeing multiple branches across the UK, before moving into Operational Excellence Manager within the Horbury Group. In this role, Rob was instrumental in driving the Horbury Way, a group-wide continual improvement initiative focused on streamlining processes, eliminating waste, strengthening performance management, and developing the systems needed to support consistent operational delivery across the business. This experience, combined with his ground-up operational grounding, underpins his expertise in continual improvement, operational excellence, and process efficiency - disciplines he applies daily in his current position at HPS.
In his current role, Rob is focused on structuring HPS for sustainable growth and long-term expansion. A key part of this has involved rebuilding the operational systems and processes that underpin the business - moving away from outdated ways of working towards a more structured, data-led approach, with AI and automation increasingly built into how the team plans and delivers its work. He holds full ownership of the ISO9001 Integrated Management System, ensuring quality and process standards are embedded and continually refined across the business. Rob is an expert in building high-performing teams, developing individual and team performance, and driving the operational discipline needed to scale a business without losing control of quality or margin. His approach combines hands-on commercial and technical grip with a genuine passion for making things measurably better.
