Titan Flooring was appointed by Winvic Construction Limited to deliver all specialist floor preparation, screeding and tiling works across Lidl's new Great Britain headquarters.
Named 'Lidl House' by colleagues following an internal survey, the new headquarters brings teams from across the business together under one roof to help drive support for Lidl's network of 900 stores, 13 warehouses and 26,000 colleagues across Great Britain.
The bespoke building, which spans five floors, has been built with a number of innovative measures to reduce its impact on the environment. These include the largest number of electric car charging points in one location in the UK, and solar panels on the car park providing 300kW of energy per hour. Inside the HQ, all of the toilets flush with rainwater and the building is fitted with automatic LED lighting.
Titan Flooring completed all specialist floor preparation and screeding works throughout the scheme, and fitted a range of ceramic wall and floor tiling to all of the toilets throughout the building, the communal and restaurant areas, along with block paving to the balcony areas. Delivered across an 18,000m² floor area over a 65-week programme, the works helped bring this landmark headquarters to completion.
