Project Manager - Horbury Building Systems

Control and delivery of large scale construction projects. This level is fully experienced and capable of controlling and managing most projects within the region. The job is site based. The project manager will keep up to date with modern methods of construction. Control and delivery of construction projects to meet customer specifications (quality, cost, time etc.) such that all budget, risk, specification, project timescales, customer and business objectives are met in full. To fully comply with Horbury health & safety and legal requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

-          Project manage the safe delivery of large construction projects; time, procurement, and client interface;

-          Line management of site management team, monitor site agent progress and provide direct assistance and support as necessary;

-          Create and sustain a culture and working environment that drives employee satisfaction;

-          Manage liaisons, interfaces and contacts with client site management such that positive and ongoing customer relationships are maintained;

-          Manage all correspondence related to this project;

-          Ensure that safe working practices and safety procedures are fully implemented across the site/project/contract;

-          Chair site meetings; progress meetings, safety meeting and project reviews with customer, sub-contractors and issue relevant meeting minutes to line management;

-          Ensure that all additional work is identified and the commercial team are issued with these;

-          Appreciate and understand the commercial implications and drivers within the construction process and incorporate these within decision making;

-          Responsible for the safety and welfare of all staff and sub-contractors within their control under the strict observance of the Horbury safety policy;

Qualifications Required:

-          SMSTS

-          CSCS

-          NVQ L3 – Site Supervision (desirable)

-          First Aid

-          PASMA

IPAF 3A / 3B (desirable)

Skills Required:

Technical knowledge of:

-          Drywall

-          Ceilings

-          SFS

-          CP Board

-          Fire stopping (FIRAS)

-          Acoustics

-          Knowledge of Facades / Rendering

-          Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

-          To have construction related skills /  have worked in a construction environment

-          Computer literate and have knowledge using Microsoft packages and Outlook (Essential)

-          Have knowledge of ASTA Projects Software (desirable)

Have knowledge of Microsoft Project (desirable)

Competencies / Experience Required

Previous experience in construction is required within Drywall and external packages.

Normal Hours of Work:

40 hours:  Monday - Friday;  8:30 – 16:30 (dependent on site / flexibility where required)

Flexibility Required:

Need to be able to travel and possibly lodge throughout the UK
