EducationHorbury Building Systems Ltd were appointed 6 schools, these were to undertake the final detailing and delivery of the façade packages consisting of the High-Pressure Laminate rainscreen cladding to the dining halls, sports halls and staircases. This including the associated framing support for the facade. These schools were:
- Samuel Lister Academy
- Harrogate High School
- Carlton Bolling College
- All Saints Catholic College
- Beckfoot Upper Heaton (Belle Vue Boys School)
- Whitcliffe Mount
Horbury Building Systems Ltd undertook the following works:
- Façade panels in multiple module widths, orientated vertically, with multiple colour strips being introduced for maximum visual impact
- Window surrounds and infill panels to the main structures which were completed in the High-Pressure Laminate
- Rainscreen cladding including all background supporting structures were detailed and installed
- Main Entrance cladding, sports hall canopies and supporting columns in High-Pressure Laminate including associated supporting background, fixed to a structural steel frame.
- Canopy roofs were covered with a single ply roofing membrane and included the associated rainwater installation
- Danpalon polycarbonate rainscreen, including all supporting framework, cills & flashing to the sports hall which was introduced into the High-Pressure Laminate elevations to maximum effect
Installation of rainwater goods which included the high-level hoppers and down pipes. The requirement for an anti-climb deterrent had to be included in the final detailing of the rainwater system.
