CivilSome 730 trains every day serve Reading station, taking passengers to destinations across the country. The complicated track layout at the station and limited platform space formed a bottleneck. This caused delays which sometimes mean that trains have to wait outside the station for a platform.
The station has undergone a transformation programme as part of the wider £850m Reading Improvement scheme.
Latest Case Study

Customers at the station have benefitted from:
- a spectacular new passenger bridge improving access to all platforms
- two additional entrances to the north and south of the station
- four enhanced new platforms coming into service
- more than 100 new customer information screens
Titan Interior Solutions were responsible for the installation of a Luxalon timber panel ceiling to the new Transfer Deck. In addition Titan installed the new partitions, linings, metal & plasterboard ceilings to the new platform buildings, subway, switch room and existing platform buildings which was linked via a transfer bridge across a live railway.
