This large residential property has been constructed out of an existing listed barn in the Peak District National Park.
All works were carried out under the scrutiny of the Peak planning inspectors.
All existing features and openings were retained, including stone external steps fitted with new hand railing to traditional design. All joinery works were manufactured and fitted by ourselves from solid oak. This included all external windows and large external lintels, replacement "barn" doors etc. Replacement mullions and lintels to replace the existing damaged ones were sourced to match the local stone. Similarly the pointing was all carried out in black mortar to match.
The large oak doors to the front of the building open onto a 2 storey reception area with mezzanine floor and the existing stone archways were retained.
There are three bathrooms all with wet room construction and under floor heating, five bedrooms, three large reception rooms, an extensive kitchen plus the exceptional reception area. The main lounge has a central open fire with innovative under floor flue to external air.
One wing of the building houses the utility room and swimming pool shell ready for future fit out.
