Development of an all-year skiing venue and other state-of-the-art leisure facilities.
Xscape is Britain's all-year skiing venue where fresh snow falls every day. The development also features a 14-screen ‘Cine UK' cinema, together with other state-of-the-art leisure facilities.
Horbury Building Systems Limited and Horbury Fire Protection Limited worked together on the project to provide structural fire protection and exceptionally high-performing acoustic walls and ceilings throughout the leisure complex.
The project had a very tight production schedule, with each component tied in to a specific hand-over date. The cinema complex - with work valued in excess of £0.75M - was completed within an impressive 15 weeks of the start date. During the busiest period, 24 tonnes of plasterboard was taken into the building each working day.
