The third successive project for Unite completed in Birmingham by Carillion and Horbury Group.
This £25M student accommodation project contains 748 bedrooms split between two blocks, one traditional build and the other pre-fabricated units. The 30 week fast track programme meant that successful logistics/ project management were critical in ensuring that the project was delivered on time, with at one stage over 100 men involved on the project to ensure that programme deadlines were met.
Horbury Building Systems Ltd completed the partitions, linings, ceilings, plastering, suspended ceilings and fire protection to steel. MWS Joinery Ltd installed doors, frames, ironmongery, window boards, skirtings and kitchens.
