A prestigious design and build contract of 32,000 sq.ft. over 4 floors.
The building is constructed on a steeply sloping site being 4 storeys to one elevation and 3 to the other, overcoming the initial problems of variable ground conditions including outcrop rock formations.
The elevations are treated with a combination of local natural stone, sun control curtain walling, natural zinc cladding and flexible render. The 2 main elevations are set to non concentric curves with a large overhang and vertical fins to the south west elevation to assist in controlling solar gain. A Sedum roof is also incorporated together with extensive rain water attenuation to help in achieving an environmentally friendly building.
The internal trades of raised floors, partitions, ceilings and joinery were all carried out by our in house group companies. Much of the internal joinery was purpose made in our own joiners shop.
The building services comprise comfort cooling throughout, electrical and I.T. provision to flexible floor box positions and high quality toilet and kitchen facilities to all floors.
Security provision includes door access control, cctv to external areas and automatic bollards to car parking areas.
The whole scheme is built to the highest standards and has already become a enviable landmark building in the area.
