Horbury Group

A design and build development of 3 office blocks with a total area of 27,000 sq. ft.

The works commenced with a cut and fill exercise to provide a better landscaping solution to combine the 3 blocks. Surface water attenuation was installed into the underlying rock.

The structure is a composite frame with cladding in polished block, sun control curtain walling and through colour render. Plant housings were designed to be clad unobtrusively on the roofing areas. Close liaison with the planners was required to provide aesthetically pleasing buildings on a prime site adjacent to the local authorities own new development.

All internal walls, fire protection, raised floors, ceilings and joinery were carried out by our own in house companies. The buildings incorporate raised floors and comfort cooling throughout together with I.T. provision to all areas.

A full fit out contract to one of the buildings followed the completion of the main build. This included the main Reception desk and 5.0m Boardroom table manufactured by our joinery company, together with extensive matching hardwood storage cupboards and other fittings to all floors.
